Yonsen, born in Malaysia, is a contemporary Chinese calligraphy artist and muralist. He has practiced Chinese brush writing since the age of nine and has taught calligraphy in his own classes since 2017. Coming from mural painting, he takes calligraphy off the page and onto canvas, walls and into space. His focus is on large-scale works, where the force of each stroke, the structure of each character and the relationship to the room create impact and vitality.
