New York. Night sessions. Grand Slam #4.

"A great rival is like a mirror." Andre Agassi said it, and no rivalry in tennis proves it better than his own with Pete Sampras. Tennis has always been shaped by great rivalries, but this one shaped a generation.

They played 34 times over 13 years. Four of those meetings came at the US Open, and Sampras won every one of them. The 2001 quarterfinal is the one people still bring up first: four tiebreaks, not a single break of serve across the entire match, 6-7, 7-6, 7-6, 7-6, two players refusing to give the other an inch. The 2002 final was the last one that mattered most, Sampras' 14th Grand Slam title, and the final match of his professional career. And somewhere in between all of it sits the guerrilla tennis ad from 1995, the one that turned two rivals into a cultural moment that had nothing to do with a scoreline.

For this release, we worked with HÜLPMAN, a Berlin-based graphic artist, painter, and illustrator known for a bold, dynamic style built from marker, spray paint, and acrylic across different materials.

The back is a tennis ball packed with dozens of hand-drawn miniatures telling the story of the rivalry, scorelines, trophies, racquets, outfits, and details only the two of them would recognize.

The front is a hand-drawn interpretation of the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows, coordinates included, because this rivalry belongs to the US Open as much as it belongs to either man.

It's also our first collection on black fabric. Limited runs, shipping in about four weeks.
Some rivalries end in a handshake at the net. This one earned a shirt that tells both sides of the story on the same piece of fabric.
