The beginning.

HELLO WORLD!

Every tennis fan has their own heroes, stories and moments that shaped them. For us, as kids of the 80s and 90s, it was Michael Chang, Ivan Lendl, Boris Becker, Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras and Marat Safin. Different characters, different memories. But the same obsession with the game.

At some point, we started wondering: What if we could give these moments and their protagonists a new life? Pay tribute to the stories that shaped tennis and shaped us as fans? And quite literally carry them forward? Not just onto the tennis court. But into cafés, to the local market, to work, or wherever life takes us.

That's how 58g started. A project dedicated to iconic moments in tennis history, reinterpreted and handcrafted by different artists and brought onto fabric. Stories you can wear.

Our very first shirt was THE MONOLOGUE, inspired by Tommy Haas' legendary 1:26-minute self-talk at the 2007 Australian Open. A moment we still remember vividly, and one we had the chance to bring onto fabric together with Tommy himself. The first of many stories we wanted to carry forward.

AND WHO'S BEHIND IT?

Just two tennis nerds who happen to work in creative industries.

Norman is a Creative Director and has worked as a copywriter in advertising for over two decades, always with a soft spot for sports brands and everything around them.

Andreas is a filmmaker and co-founder of AKKURAT Studios, a production company and creative label.

We've spent years telling stories for other people and brands. With 58g, we finally get to tell the ones we've loved since we were kids. And we're pretty sure there are plenty more worth telling.
